i'm a very passionate person- there's no denying that. i love passionate music. i love passionate people...i think they understand me a little better. that doesn't mean i'm super emotional, though. i've never been the chic that cries all the time. i cry, but not a whole whole lot. i say that to write that i cried throughout the majority of the shane & shane show. wow. my eyes sting right now- i'm talking red & tear-stained face over here. i just can't explain how it feels to see them live. i've said this before, but i think it's just a teeny tiny taste of heaven- shane & shane will be singing live when i get there times a million of awesomeness with angels, etc. man, i'm excited.
today was really good. 2 random dudes in the car beside me at a stop light did sign language through the window to tell me they liked my hat. then they wrote something on a piece of paper & held it up to the window. it said "you're cool." haha. i wanted to write back "you're nice," but i didn't have paper handy & the light turned green. i definitely want to work on complimenting people more. it feels good to be complimented & to make others feel good blesses me even more than that. then a liberty tax statue of liberty brother waved & danced for me & blew me a kiss. you KNOW those guys always make my day- they're my favorite.
i ate at a bagel shop by myself early this morning & really enjoyed it. i love doing things by myself- especially eating. most people freak out about it, but it's cool to me. i showed some houses & then got ready for the show. we pulled out this vhs that i'd given tori for her 21st birthday. i went to a shane & shane show that she couldn't make it to, so i video taped the whole thing & then made them sing happy birthday to her on it. it's the coolest. she loved it, obviously.
i also found the video i'd made of cornerstone festival in 2004. the bands i'd taped on that thing were: emery, beloved, derek webb, david crowder, anathallo, grits (ha), cool hand luke, & underoath. pretty cool. there were hilarious parts of jenn, justin, jess, & i acting crazy. favorite part: the camera zooms in on my face & i say "i don't know about you, but i'm scoping out the skate park tomorrow." so then the next day there's another shot of me standing by the skate park with a disappointed look on my face & i say "well, maybe next year." the camera pans over to the ramp & there are literally like 8 year olds with their dad's skating. ha. typical. hilarious.
i'd never eaten at copper river, but we ate at the one in s-burg & it was good. i already wrote a little about the show, but bethany dillon & starfield opened. i loved the lead singer from starfield's voice. oh & i knew shane barnard was engaged, but i found out tonite that it's to bethany dillon! crazy. adorable. good for them. that's really it. good day, great show. every day i will praise.
