The other day I received a call to come in & be Kelly Preston's stand-in for the movie Death Sentence, being filmed in Columbia. I, of course, was super excited & jumped at the chance. It was amazing. Not only did I get to stand right in the middle of the action & watch Kevin Bacon & Kelly Preston do emotional scenes first hand so I could imitate Kelly for the lighting & camera guys, but I met the coolest people ever. Every single person I came in contact with was so friendly & welcoming. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. And I can't sing the praises of James Wan (the director) enough. He is absolutely brilliant & probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I have serious respect for him & everyone on the set. It ended up taking about 6 or 7 hours to film one scene. The lighting itself took 1hr. 45min or so to perfect for 1 shot. Can you imagine? I've always been in love with movies, but it's so much more than just liking a movie now. I have suuuch respect for anyone involved. Thanks to all who made my experience so amazing. Maybe I'll see you on the next film. I'm starting to get addicted : )
Since I wrote this, I've found out that I'll be finishing the rest of the film as Kelly's stand-in!
