June has finally arrived which is my unofficial start of summer (I know it technically starts on the 20th, but whatev). The weather this weekend has reminded me of summertime in Columbia...just in case I'd forgotten. Whoo Whee. If you're new to Columbia summers, you'll find out pretty quick how we roll.
Summer 2008, here are my goals for you:
first & foremost, continue praying God's will for my life and pray hard for my family, friends, church, city, country, etc. "without ceasing."
learn how to rollerskate backwards semi-decently
go night-swimming a lot
find some new bands to fall in love with
remember to take my one-a-day vitamins
meet new people & make new friends
learn how to play some more songs on my guitar & sing more, too
find a dance studio that will let me have an empty room for 1 hour if i windex their mirrors or something so i can blast music & choreograph & just dance my heart out. lyrical & hip-hop mostly.
get to work on the 3-D zombie movie starring gary busey that's coming to film in columbia- yeah, you read that right. (i'd really like to be a zombie, but i'll settle for crew work if that doesn't work out).
go to massage therapy school without actually going to massage therapy school. i need to charge for these magic hands.
read some great books (i'm open to suggestions, y'all) & go to the movies more. i really want to see that movie strangers.
contemplate tattoo # 2...just contemplate
give myself away- time, moneyz, love
however, invest deeply in people who appreciate me & care about our friendship- be intentional
work out- good mix of cardio & weight training. also be able to hold planks for a crazy long time.
be the best groomsgirl there ever was on june 28th
get to the beach a few times
drink lots of rosewood dairy bar chocolate milkshakes
go to some outdoor concerts- like at Finley Park, etc.
get some dope new headshots
be aware of my daily blessings & thank God for them
