weekend highlights & such

my friends jamie & david got married friday nite & i couldn't be happier. honestly they are 2 of the most selfless, loving people i've ever known. don't tell david you like his shirt, he'll take it off on the spot & give it to you- he's done it on more than 1 occasion. i don't think either one has ever met a stranger- they are so great at loving any & everyone they meet, it's incredible. God did an amazing thing by putting these 2 together and i can't wait to see what He does with them as a couple. i think they're planning on going to china for a while to teach english & do some mission work- i'll miss them, but i'm so excited.

i wish you could have heard how everyone talked about them during the toasts at the rehearsal dinner. i pretty much cried the whole time. what an amazing couple they are. makes me wonder what people would say about me at mine one day- i just hope i find someone as amazing & perfect for me as david is for jamie. i'll wait on God til i do.





the ladies of vera circle threw a house warming luau saturday & omg, what fun. who remembers slip n slides hurting so bad? i'm bruised up like nobody's business. we grilled & slid & watched the football game (blah) & laughed & had a great time.



tonite a friend of mine had a going away party that i went to- he's moving to PA tomorrow! we grilled out again & i met a bunch of people from hill of the Lord church. it was fun. i wanted to make it to midtown in time for the 9, but of course it didn't work out & i was too late. boo. i had to miss last week bc of my grandfather's death so i'm so ready to be back. next weeeeeeeek.

i start my new job tomorrow- i think it's gonna be an easy week (3 hours at my supervisor's house mon, 3 hours tues, & then i'm shadowing a friend wed & thurs on her visits) friday is "set up your home office day" aka plug in my new fax machine & have the day off. sweeeet. i've signed up to go to the beach with the adult women of midtown this weekend, too, so i'm totally stoked about that!

i'm also stoked about this fall weather & the fair!!!!!!!!! only 17 days left. omg. i'm gonna freak out.






oh & i went ahead & bought my ticket for the lydia/copeland/lovedrug/lights show in nov. i wrote on lydia's myspace wall about how excited i was & those mugs wrote me back! i thought that was so nice- made my day : )

well that's my weekend wrap-up. it was great to get back to fun & friends after a sad week. Thank you God for your comfort & healing : )
