here we go again.

i always wait til so much has happened that i have to write a novel blog. sorry about that.

lately:

* bought my ticket for LA in april- right around $200ish : ). free place to stay. can't wait to visit a bunch of friends & maybe try to do extra work on a cool show. we'll see. my friend tony works at central casting- i'm hoping he'll hook a sista up. i really want to hang out with james w. and i promise i won't stalk any celebs while i'm there. well... no, i promise.

* my real estate company just merged with russell & jeffcoat which is kind-of a big deal. i enjoy being in a small company, but R&J is going to let us be "a company within a company" so that's rad. and they're the #1 company around here, so cool. i just got a referral check for a client i gave to my broker since i was too busy with my full-time job to help him. must be nice to get a check for doing jack crap. yes, yes it is. i think i've got another client looking for a house soon. i'm going to try to help him myself if i can work it out.

* skiing was mega fun. great group- all very laid back, easy to be around, fun people with no drama. you know sometimes there's that 1 person that needs all the attention & says things to get a rise out of everyone or talks really loud to make a scene? reminds me of my youth group ski trips. yeah, none of that with my 2009 valentines. enjoyed being with all of them. and on the slopes i never fell down once!! michael encouraged me to do a blue & i did it. i know that sounds dumb- it wasn't a double black diamond or whatever the heck that mug does, but i was proud of my blue. really great trip & valentines day. i wanted to find a captain d's to make it 2 years in a row, but we settled for the wildcats store and lauren's chilli was worth it : ) aaaand so was the birfday cake.

* over 80 freaking people signed up for the day mission trip tomorrow which is a valentines dance for the mentally disabled people from the babcock center. crazy awesome. in fact, i had to cut off sign-ups because they aren't sure they have the space for everyone. good problem to have, i guess. i can't wait to serve & get my dance on with these beautiful people who have my heart. i found a cool pink & black dress for the valentine theme, too. fun stuff.

* i don't know how to "flirt" and i need some lessons before next weekend. nathan made me the class flirt in the murder mystery & i don't know what i'm doing. when i think of flirty i think of slutty. not good. i'm not going to have dustin kick me out of the church for "trying to get into character." haha. no, i'll be alright. but if you're there, just remember i'm just acting...for the most part. i gotta pull out the old 80s prom dress from a year ago, too. i may should try to find something new, but i just don't want to. nothing will be as good as that dress. oh how i love that thing.

* my dad called & surprised me with tickets to the USC baseball game at the new stadium saturday. i'm so stoked. are we still having trash the dress?? if so i'll have to come late i guess : * (

* my lifegroup is beyond awesome. we had a repentance night this week & boy was it amazing. God is doing the coolest stuff in & through all of us & i can't wait to see what else He does.

* now off to lunch with my dear friend!
